6th International Parliamentary Debate Competition

The English Debate Team is proud to share some good news! During the Lunar New Year break, our students competed in the 6th International Parliamentary Debate Competition (IPDC) and took home numerous awards.
With over 105 schools from 12 plus regions competing over the years, the IPDC is a competitive international debate competition and involves delegates from all over the world, including the Greater Bay Area and the Belt and Road Regions. This year, our school had 9 teams passionately competing against students from Africa, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Lebanon, Macau, The United States and Vietnam.
As the school with the most participants and great sportsmanship in the age 13-14 category, we won the Spirited Award in said category. Multiple members in the teams won Best Speaker awards and scholarships for the World Scholar’s Cup and Model United Nations! One of them was even invited to the squad trials for the Hong Kong Team attending The 2025 U.S. Nationals Speech and Debate Tournament! We congratulate and recognise these students for their hard work and determination.
