Our Chemistry research team successfully entered the 66th Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Hong Kong Final) on 12th May. The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, provides an annual forum for more than 1,700 high school students from over 70 countries, regions, and territories to showcase their independent research and inventions. The Intel ISEF, owned and administered by Society for Science & the Public since 1950, is the premier global science competition for students in grades 9–12.
22 teams of participants from different secondary schools in Hong Kong were selected to join the final round. They needed to present their research findings to 5 adjudicators respectively. Using the research titled “Synthesis of High Oil Affinity Ester Macro-Molecule with Renewable Resources吸油海棉寶寶”, our Chemistry Research Team was selected to be one of the Hong Kong representatives to join the Global Final Round in Los Angeles, California. Our team members Chan King Lun, Leung Pok Him Michael and Ching Yu Hin from Class 5S1 will compete with award-winning teams from all over the world.
Congratulations to our researches as well as all our Chemistry teachers on their effort and achievement made in the event.
