Objectives

Aims

  • To facilitate whole school IT education in both teaching and learning.
  • To provide opportunities for students to be more creative, analytical, proactive and cooperative under appropriate guidance of teachers.
  • To help the school to manage various aspects of administration and the communication with the Education Bureau.
  • To cooperate with different committees in implementing the school policies.
  • To manage audio / visual resources and provide IT support to staff members.

Objectives

  • To revise the intranet infrastructure and server management strategy.
  • To allocate resources of network, hardware and software effectively.
  • To provide IT/AV technical support for different subjects and committees.
  • To provide IT/AV trainings and workshops for teachers, students and parents.
  • To liaise with different IT/AV vendors/providers for purchase and installation of various hardware and software.
  • To purchase, maintain and upgrade the IT/AV resources.

Implementation Plan
 

Major Concerns 1:

  • To enhance students’ active learning via different IT tools

Intended Outcomes:

  • Students can use e-Learning tools for self learning and drilling
  • Students get familiar with e-Learning tools

Strategies/Tasks:

  • To develop a reading scheme system
  • To purchase different e-Learning tools

Success Criteria:

  • More than 80% of junior students are able to use the IT tools

Method of Evaluation

  • Inspection by technicians

Major Concerns 2:

  • To better implement the NSS curriculum

Intended Outcomes:

  • Students are able to use the IES platform for their LS SBA
  • The SLP data can be transferred from eClass to WebSAMS

Strategies/Tasks:

  • To purchase the IES platform
  • To participate in the SLP workshop

Success Criteria:

  • The IES platform can be installed successfully
  • Students are able to use the IES platform
  • The transmission of data from eClass to WebSAMS can be processed successfully

Method of Evaluation

  • Inspection by technicians

Major Concerns 3:

  • To provide a better teaching and learning platform

Intended Outcomes:

  • The switches will be replaced
  • One more check-in system will be installed at the main entrance
  • Visualizers will be installed in all classrooms in the main building
  • Two LCD TVs will be installed in the school hall

Strategies/Tasks:

  • To replace the switches during the summer vacation
  • To install an eClass attendance recording kiosk at the main entrance
  • To install visualizers, visualizer cabinets and relocate the screen in all classrooms in the main building
  • To purchase two 70” LCD TVs and install in the school hall

Success Criteria:

  • All the IT/AV equipment can be purchased and installed successfully

  • Inspection by technicians
  • All the devices can function properly
