Summer Rhapsody 2017

Posted on:2017/10/25

There is a Chinese saying that translates to “A minute on stage equates to 10 years of hard work and training.” One might question the validity of such statement. However, after witnessing the entire progress of the Summer Rhapsody 2017, it’s safe to say that our students surely did live up to the saying.

Before the day of performance, students spent the majority of the school year practicing and training for this huge event of our school. An uncountable amount of time and effort were put into this year’s performance. As the entire audience gave the performers a standing ovation at the end of the show, we can be assured that the hard work did indeed pay off.

This year’s Summer Rhapsody included our school’s elites. From our Rope Skipping Team to our Western Ensemble to our Choir, performances have never been so diverse. Our famous Handbell Team performed wonderfully, winning round after round of applause from the audience. One of the members of the Senior Handbell Team said, “Our performance this year is one of the most successful out of all the years I’ve been part of the team. I am proud to be part of this wonderful family and hope to continue performing on behalf of this phenomenal group.”  The other teams also did a splendid job and impressed everyone, especially the Musical Team. Winning multiple awards in drama festivals this year, they surely did not disappoint our audience. We all could see their team spirit and their true passion for acting.

Claiming that this year’s Summer Rhapsody is simply fantastic is an understatement. The diversified talents and skills shown were absolutely incredible and remarkable. However, this is not the end of the road, as there will be countless more of our annual concerts in the future, and for sure it will be even more incredible and remarkable in the years to come.
