We deeply appreciate Professor Lam Chi Chung, our IMC Independent Manager, for hosting the first staff development session for our teachers on 27 October 2008. Professor Lam was a former lecturer on curriculum development at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and is presently the Dean of Students and Director of General Education of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. Professor Lam shared with our teachers his experience and professional knowledge on 4C curriculum (creativity, communication, critical thinking skills and current issue). Since developing generic skills among students is one of the school major concerns, our teachers have gained a lot of inspiring insights from him.
In the workshop, teachers of core curriculum also presented good examples of 4C elements in different key learning areas. Outstanding works of students have been displayed as well.
We would like to thank Professor Lam again for his continuous support to our school over the past few years. His expertise and valuable inputs contribute significantly to both the school and staff development. We look forward to further collaboration and sharing with professionals in the tertiary sector.
