Aims and Objectives
  • Aims

The aims of Physical Education is to help students

    • develop motor skills and acquire necessary knowledge through physical activities.
    • develop active and healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of health and fitness through learning different kinds of sports skills and relative sports knowledge.
    • promote desirable moral behaviours, form correct ethics, critical thinking and appreciation of aesthetic movements.
    • further their studies by educating them various sports knowledge, generic skills, values and attitudes through different sports activities, games and situations.
    • carrying out personal development by nurturing them with different sports skills, knowledge and values and attitudes during PE lessons and sports competitions.
  • Objectives
  • To further enhance the non-academic performance in inter-school competitions.
  • To develop leadership skills among students.
  • To strengthen the sense of belonging among students by enhancing sports culture in schools through different sports activities and competitions.
  • To well implement the NSS curriculum.

Implementation Plan

Implementation Plan
Major concern: To further enhance the non-academic performance in inter-school competitions.

  • Implementation:       a) Carry out overseas sports training program for students to take part.

b) Regular sports trainings and competitions will be carried out after school and during weekends

  • Intended Outcome: a) The sense of belonging and team spirit of students can be developed. Sports team member can have more perseverance.

b) More students can join sports teams and competitions on behalf of the school with better performance.

  • Success Criteria:      a) Team spirit and the sense of belonging can be developed.

b) More than 25% of students will join sports teams

  • Method of evaluation:     a)By observation of teachers and questionnaire

b) Members’ attendance and competition results

Major Concern: To promote ethical /core values among students (Sense of responsibility)

  • Implementation:       a) Student leaders can carry out different kinds of sports programs for the school.
  • Intended Outcome: a) Sports Club can organize different sports activities for schoolmates to join.
  • Success Criteria:      a) Sports Club can organize more than 3 different kinds of sports competitions.
  • Method of evaluation:     a) By observation of teaches and the number of activities

Major Concern: To better implement the NSS curriculum (OLE aspect)

  • Implementation:       a) Carry out sports demonstration programs during the post exam period

b) Carry out 2 different kinds of inter-class competitions
c) Invite all F.1 students to watch inter-school athletics competitions

  • Intended Outcome: a) Students can know more different kinds of sports

b) The physical experience of students can be strengthened

  • Success Criteria:      a) Students can actively participate in sports demonstration programs

b) Students can actively participate in inter-class competition

c) The number of audience and students’ written report
