Objectives
    1. To equip students with the ability of integrating knowledge;
    2. To deepen studentsˇ¦ understanding of cultural and human environment;
    3. To cultivate critical thing skills and interests in current issues;
    4. To cultivate active learning attitude among students; and,
    5. To enhance studentsˇ¦ self-learning ability and build up their confidence.

Implementation Plan

Major concerns & Implementation

Concern 1:

To develop school-based curriculum and enable better implementation of NSS curriculum by better interlacing between junior and senior curriculum
Implementation:

  • Self-prepared materials will be used in particular topics.
  • Basic concepts and important issues related to the six modules of NSS curriculum will be covered in junior forms. (2 modules per year)

Concern 2:

To cultivate students’ active learning habits and establish EMI environment so as to elevate academic performance
Implementation:

  • Students will do 1 project in a year.
  • Students have to collect news on their own.
  • Students will be asked to keep tidy folders for news and essay collection.
  • Topics on healthy lifestyle and life skills will be included in F1.
  • Students-centered activities will be designed to raise students’ engagement and communication skills in English
  • There will be drawing and writing competitions on related topics during Guidance Week.

Concern 3:

To promote sunshine and caring school ethos, and instil positive, energetic and dynamic school atmosphere
Implementation:

  • F.1 students will visit PLK Museum.
  • There are talks and activities organized by non-government organizations e.g. Oxfam.
  • Topics on healthy habits and life skills will be included in F1; environmental protection in F2 and responsibilities for public health in F3
  • There will be drawing and writing competitions on related topics during Guidance Week.
