Objectives of the syllabus are to enhance students’ ability to:
- demonstrate an understanding of the basic operations of a computer system;
- explain the principles of operations for computer systems used in a particular application, specifically in terms of the systems’ hardware and software components;
- use computer terminology correctly in the context of a particular application;
- use computer applications software to solve problems;
- discuss and comment on the social impact of the widespread use of computer technology.

Tasks
- To further cultivate effective teaching and active learning in curriculum development
Implementation
- Students will be asked to finish SBA reports on their own with given guidelines. Students are required to learn related concepts and answer questions in quizzes and exams.
- Bonus questions, which are not taught in lessons, will appear in quizzes and homework. Hints will be given to students.
- Exchange test & exam papers and teaching materials with other schools so that teachers could be familiarized with different teachers’ viewpoints on curriculum and exam strategies.
Intended Outcome
- Students can find related materials for the SBA report and homework.
- Students can raise relevant questions on their own.
- Exchange materials with at least 3 schools.
- All students can hand in SBA reports on time.
Success Criteria
- 60% of students can find out relevant answers on their own and 75 % of students can answer relevant concepts in SBA
- 80% of students attempt bonus questions in homework.
- 50% of students attempt bonus questions in quizzes.

Tasks
- To well implement NSS curriculum and get good achievements in double cohort year
Implementation
- Students are divided into different groups according to their learning ability and attend tutorial class every week.
- Bonus questions will be given in quizzes and tests.
Intended Outcome
- Low achievers have great improvement in the subject
- Low achievers get confidence in the subject
- Develop interest in studying the subject among high fliers
Success Criteria
- At least half of the students get C or above in public examination
- All students get a pass in 80% of tests and all examinations
- High achievers can score at least 70% of full marks in homework, quizzes and exams
- The average formative marks for high achievers is over 80
