F.7 Community Service “Visiting and Caring the Poor”
3 December 2007

Apart from the academic performance, we have been putting much emphasis on moral education among our students. A lot of community service programmes, therefore, are held throughout each academic year. In mid November, around 50 F.7 students paid visits to 40 poverty-stricken families in Kowloon City District through “Visit to Old Residential Area Project” co-organized by our school and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Kowloon City Children and Youth Integrated Service Centre. They also assisted other community organizations in conducting survey, so that follow-ups could be done for some needy households by related parties. After participating in such a worthy cause, our students have understood more about the living condition of low-income families, and realized that they should show more care towards the underprivileged in our community.

F.3 Community Service “Visiting and Caring the Elderly”
3 December 2007

Voluntary work plays an important role in youth development. We would like to foster students’ sense of responsibility, and to nurture good citizenship among them through different kinds of social service. To support the Senior Citizens Day on 18 November, our F.3 students and the aged volunteers from PLK Kwun Tong District Elderly Community Centre visited 130 elderly people who are living alone in Lam Tin in mid November. During the programme, the participants showed their care and love to the elderly, and have understood more about the daily life and needs of aged people.
