潘懷陽老師的感想

在全球日益一體化的環境之中,學習再也不僅限於書本之中,課室之內,而是要跑出課室。學校相信學習的千里之道,需始於足下之行,因此,創校至今,己舉辦了不少交流計劃。

二零零六年四月,春風輕拂,是遠遊就學的好時光,保良局顏寶鈴書院二十多名師生飛往上海,進行五天四夜的交流活動。   

滬港兩校的交流計劃,已歷三載,今年,是學校第二次訪問上海市格致中學。格致中學歷史悠久,已歷百年,名人輩出,是全國的千所重點中學之一,在那堙A參加者們渡過了豐盛的五天四夜。格致中學替參加者按排了許多特別課程,包括射擊課、天文課、茶藝課、參觀動漫社等,這些課程都是香港沒有的,參加者們都嘖嘖稱奇,上得饒有興味。

上茶藝課時,泰半參加者是平生不沾茶與壺,在老師的指導下,他們緩緩地將熱湯倒進杯中,剎時清香撲鼻,金黃的茶湯,配以水果點綴,清香古雅的茶室,茶藝課成了一趟清淨的心靈之旅。   

幽雅的豫園、古樸的朱家角水鄉、嶄新的科技館、金色的外灘等,都使參加者在上課以外,深入體驗上海的生活文化。今年,秉承傳統,參加者們仍是居於格致中學學生的家中,晨曦時,二人一起回校上課,黃昏時,兩人共同回家,短短的五天四夜,他們已建立了深厚的友誼,校門送別,離愁撩人,眼眶奡擖X的淚水,化成了深海似的友情。   

五天四夜,日子不長,參加者們卻滿載了深厚的友誼、流利的普通話及廣闊的眼界回港。黃埔江邊,維港岸上,段段友情,遙相呼應,等待另一次交流活動。

劉慧莉老師的感想

出發前,我老擔心學生們會不小心講了廣東話,對學生千叮萬囑,出乎意料他們的表現都很好。回程時竟然有一個學生告訴我:「劉老師,我習慣了說普通話,現在我已經無法說廣東話了,怎麼辦?」我說這是一個好的開始。

臨行前,我告訴學生要好好體驗上海的學習風氣。從上海回來以後,學生告訴我:「中文課上,老師的要求很嚴格,教完一首詩歌就要求學生立刻背出來,而上海的學生真的能背出來,這離不開平時刻苦的訓練;數學課上,學生們踴躍發言,務求解決老師提出的難題,這種精神難能可貴;英語課上,書聲朗朗,學生們響亮地朗讀英語課文,看起來精力充沛。看到上海的學生這麼認真、刻苦,我們也被感染了,也要像上海的學生一樣。」

「讀萬卷書,不如行萬里路」,看來學生們真的不枉此行,不但練習了普通話,還學會了「認真、刻苦」。這就是我所期待的結果,作為老師真的替他們高興。

Reflection of Ms. Leung KM

Many of you may wonder why Miss Leung, an English teacher, would join the Shanghai Exchange Program. I would assertively tell you, being proficient in Putonghua and English is essential not only to students, but also teachers, in the 21st century. I am glad I was given a chance of exploration with my students.

Facing the intense competition of places in high school, pressure faced by students in Shanghai is tremendously higher than students in Hong Kong. At the same time, I was amazed at their language proficiency and international perspective, which are the prominent qualities of Shanghai students.

The school lessons in the morning and outings in the afternoon were informative and entertaining to both students and teachers. The performance of our students was well received and applauded. Thanks to the special arrangement of Gezhi School, students attended lessons which they have never had in Hong Kong, the tea arts, shooting and dancing. I was deeply impressed by how they engrossed in the lessons. The outings in the afternoon were eye opener to all of us. Students were able to look at both old and new perspectives of Shanghai. We visited the historical heritages, like the classical Chinese garden, the Yu Yuan, the reputable Shanghai Museum, whereas the marvelous Huangpu River and its classic colonial riverfront, the Bund and the Pudong Special Economic Zone etc. Students were amazed at the great metropolis of Shanghai, which is currently undergoing one of the fastest economic expansions that the world has ever seen.

Living with home stay families was also a memorable time for our students. Still remember the first time you met your buddies? You were both excited and curious. We were worried if you could adapt to the new environment. The next morning my worries all went away when I heard of your fascinating experience with your home stay family; the food you have had for dinner, the places you have been to, the things you have done with your buddies. Later I myself was quite impressed with how you were able to adapt. You had lessons with your buddies, dined in their school canteen, and watched the fantastic circus with them. A bond was naturally developed among you.

At the beginning, some of you still hesitated to speak in Putonghua whereas some of you "generously" contributed to our "fund" (as we all agreed those who spoke in Cantonese would be fined, and those fines would be contributed to charity). Arriving the airport on the last day, you were allowed to speak in Cantonese, it was amazed that many of you could not switch the channel to Cantonese. As some of you said, it's "post-Shanghai Syndrome". How funny it was! At the same time, it is a joy to us as it means that you were immersed into the Putonghua speaking environment.

Finally, I would like to express my very heartfelt gratitude to our school principal, for giving me a chance to participate in the Exchange Program, my colleagues, Mr. Poon and Ms. Lau, and all the participants of this Exchange program for giving me a memorable experience. We explored, we laughed, we exclaimed! I do treasure all the precious moments with you!

經過這五天的交流團,我覺得自己好像長大了。在那堙A我住在格致初中的同學家堙C

我在她的家中,吃好的、食好的、住也是好的。我在第二天早上遲了起床,回到學校還見到劉老師和梁老師在升降機堙A她們還取笑我們,但是我沒有因此而不高興。

要跟上海學生一起上課,真是十分可憐,他們的中文課較為嚴肅,老師講課一本正經,但是,上學的學生仍十分專注。他們特別替我們設計了兩節特別課:射擊及茶藝。射擊真的十分好玩,如果我們也有這個課外活動,我相信一定有很多人參加。茶藝很優雅,每一個動作,都與禮儀有關。

飛機漸漸地飛離香港了,離開了那個熟悉的家,向並未認識的上海進發。

剛下飛機,我開始緊張起來了,不知道未來五天的家人,會是怎樣的一家人了。但是, 我的擔心是多餘的, 他們是一家十分熱情的一家人, 對我十分照顧。

我們到了格致初中去課,我發現他們跟我們很不一樣,他們認真的態度值得我們學習。

在上海的第二天開始,我們去了不同的地方遊覽,見識了當地的環境。

在離開父母的五天,我學會了獨立,學會了照顧自己,學會了很多不同的東西。如果有機會的話,一定要去別的地方去看一下。

4S1 張惠婷

上海很大、很熱鬧、很寧靜。車很多,人也很多,卻比香港靜得多,綠得多。上海學生的學習熱誠,使我感到汗顏。學校課室內空調欠奉,差不多五十人一班,但他們仍可在惡劣的環境之下非常專注上課,回家後也立即溫習。

我的住家朋友-李沁,每天放學後立即拿出一本本的課本溫習,好學不倦,使我不敢打擾她。她的父母談吐溫文有禮,很有學養。她們一家對我很好,令我真的有家的感覺,很溫暖。早十一道菜,使人懷念。他們對我無微不至地照料,令人感動,離別的一天,我不禁淌下淚來。

五天四夜的交流活動,感受良多,我特別要多謝領隊爸爸、潘老師、梁老師、劉老師、導遊小姐、組長爸爸、組員弟妹、其他同學,還有我的兩位「媽媽」及李沁。就是有你們,這五天才過得愉快充實,謝謝。

從香港國際機場出發,直至到達浦東國際機場之前,在飛機上的兩個小時,我的心情仍然是忐忑不安,總覺得之後的五天會十分難熬。但在旅遊車上環顧如今的上海,我看到四周都是一幢幢新穎的建築物,那些摩天大廈和博物館的建築風格和水準絕對可以跟其他國際性的大都市媲美,而且回望浦東國際機場,它那海鷗的造型更為上海添了一份氣勢。如今的上海,使我以往對自己國家的疏離感都一掃而空了,亦將我在飛機上的疑慮撲滅了,我就知道我這次的選擇是正確的。

五天的交流活動,使我獲益良多,我親切地感受到「讀萬卷書,不如行萬里路」的意義。這次在上海交流活動學到的,都是在香港不能夠體會、感受到的,住家對我的照顧更使我不能忘懷。

最後,我希望可以籍此多謝康校長給我機會;多謝潘懷陽老師在我臨出發前想退縮的時候給我鼓勵,使我沒有放棄;多謝梁老師、劉老師在上海對我無微不至的照顧;多謝上海一班教導我們、帶我們到處交流的導師、領隊,更要多謝一班同行的同學。沒有你們,這的上海交流團一定沒有那麼順利, 你們都替我編寫了五天在上海的童話, 我衷心多謝你們。

經過五天的交流活動後,我增加了對上海的了解,我的普通話也進步了許多。上海跟其他中國城市不同,人們的生活水平很高,和香港差不多。格致中學改變了我對上海學生固有的觀念,許多人認為內地學生的英語水平不佳,當我跟他們一起上課時,才發現他們的英文水平很好,講得比我們還要好,還要流暢。

上海的學生生活很健康,他們每天早上也要做早操,兩三節課後就會做眼部操,而且在午餐時會吃水果。

上海的同學都很熱情,我跟他們只是上了兩天課,已建立了深厚的友誼。離別的那天,我也很不捨,我跟上海的朋友都哭了,五天的交流時間實在太短了,希望將來可以再跟她見面交流啊!
