  A Memorable Trip in Singapore
By Anson Cheung

This was simply one of my best experiences of my life. Dunman High School of Singapore had invited our school for an exchange program.

I still couldn't believe that my parents will let me go. Well actually, I went ballistic when my parent told me that I could go for the trip. I was so excited that I could barely concentrate on the things I did. During the trip in Singapore, the teachers brought us to different places in Singapore to learn and understand their culture and history. I enjoyed the exchange trip to Singapore; the air was clean; the city was hygienic and the scenery was preposterous.

During the nights I spent with my home stay, my home stay (Cindy) gave me tons of fun! We surfed on the net, went shopping until late at night, and went to different food courts to try out some traditional and unique Singaporean food. Also, my home stay had treated me really well. They had great manners and they are extremely friendly to me. It made me felt like home.
This trip was wonderful. I will never forget this trip and I will never forget my friends I made in Singapore. I am anticipating for another trip like this.

  From Waiting to Crying
By Rodney Lo

6th July, 2005
Pulling a heavy luggage from my home to the Hong Kong International Airport, boarding to the plane, and pulling my luggage along the Terminal Changi Airport…I think I may meet my buddy soon in Duman High School, but someone asked me, ‘Are you Rodney?’ He is a Form 4 boy named Edison. He is so kind and helped me to take my luggage from the Airport to his home!

7th July, 2005
I'm a bus lover and I'm so glad about what happened today! Edison and I went to school by bus! Fantastic! I discovered one thing special in the S'pore bus, a sign written with“…No Durian FINE $500.” Edison told me that all the public transportation facilities are not allowed people to bring any DURIAN!
Today, we traveled along the Downtown Singapore, like Bugis, Lavender, Raffles Place… These are not important. The most important thing is the tour guide introduced each spot (not the famous one) for over 5 minutes! Then we went to a place near the Airport to have dinner and it cost…S$7.3! Very expensive!

8th July, 2005
I had lessons with Edison. Although the school is new to me, the Chinese (subject) teacher looked similar…Like, FAT (it seems to be enough…) While the 4th lesson began, I fell asleep. Something happened. Our Hong Kong student, Kelvin (Form 7), stood and looked behind his buddy while his buddy was doing his chemistry test! Then, the chemistry teacher scolded at Kelvin and thought he was helping his buddy to finish the test! Oh! What a pity!

9th July, 2005
Jogathon, Jogathon….I nearly die! Edison and I had to jog for the charity campaign for 4.5 km (UNFAIR…Girls only3.2 km)…And I was exhausted! And I know why Ms Chiu and Ms Leung…They didn’t even run…Edison and I then went to an amusement park in a resort called Downtown East…That is pretty insane! Then, we had our last dinner in Singapore!

10th July, 2005
I'm quite… I really don't like people leaving a place with sadness, please don't cry! CHERRY… SHARON… At last, I bought two Lindt chocolates back to Hong Kong and it cost me $75! But, Katherine and Maggie had… my whole box of chocolate! What a pity!
